Phew! What a crazy, tumultuous, roller coaster of a summer it has been! We have been absent for a little bit and for that, we are sorry, but we promise it was well worth the wait; we have so much new stuff to share with you! As fall starts to roll in, so do all those ideas for remodels before the holidays. The summer was a nice reprieve, but we are back in full force!
The summer kicked off with our relocation to a brand new studio in Edwards, CO. It is such the perfect spot with exquisite river views accompanied by the sound of babbling water. We have an upgraded, private library for intimate client meetings and so much space to display new artwork! You can read more about our relocation over at the Vail Valley Partnership’s newsroom.
The best part about moving into a new office space? Doing what we do best – designing. Check out these super cool Dallin Screens from Moe’s Home. They help break up our new office into private spaces to keep productivity at top-notch as our team continues to grow!
Now, what’s the point of getting all excited about a new space if you don’t break it in?! In August, we had a fantastic Open House to welcome family, friends, vendors, and past and potential clients into our new studio and share in our joy. It was such a great turnout! Foster Construction, Alpine Builder’s Hardware, and Decorative Materials, among many others, joined us and it was great to have everyone celebrating with us. Turns out, our space isn’t half bad for hosting parties; especially on First Friday’s in the Riverwalk when we can hear the music rolling in from down the block – no DJ needed.
Not only was our expanding business cause for celebration, but we were also very excited to unveil our new signage! After many, tiring hours of the design process and selecting finishes (yes, even designers have to make sample approvals for our own spaces), the final product came out just as we had envisioned it! An ecletic mix of hardwood, aluminum, in-layed routing, and more, we have a piece that is a genuine reflection of the LKW Design brand and our design aesthetic.
