Thinking through the layers of accessories needed to present the perfect Thanksgiving Tablescape, or Holiday Bar Cart, is a really fun element of entertaining during the holidays. A thoughtfully set table inspires your guests to a celebratory mood from the moment you gather at the table, and a signature cocktail is a great conversation starter for friends and family who are catching up on the news from the past year. Our clients with vacation homes here in the Vail Valley love to entertain; therefore, our designs tend to embrace this lifestyle element. Many times we get the opportunity to venture beyond the perfect dining table to help select some of the smaller touches that take entertaining to the next level. We hope some of these ideas help inspire your next gathering!

A functional and aesthetically-pleasing bar cart is sure to draw a crowd, but as pretty as it may look, it won’t do much without the proper spirits and bar tools. A diverse bar cart will usually carry each of the following: vodka, gin, rum, tequila, whiskey, and vermouth, for the martinis of course. Be sure to also have on hand an array of garnishments such as citrus peels and sprigs of herbs (mint and rosemary are great holiday staples).

Don’t be afraid to think outside the (china) box when it comes to setting up your dining spaces this holiday season. Try some modern pieces with a nod to mountain lifestyle to shake up those traditional place settings. To save on time (and stress), set your tables the night before your holiday event. The next morning, all you have to worry about is getting the food on the table.
